Proof that An Ordinary Citizen Can Run for President in France

Many Canadians have not been informed that an ordinary citizen may be eligible to run for President of France. The French system is therefore completely different to Canada's electoral requirements for Prime Minister.

Nathaliffe Gettliffe enlisted for the Presidential campaign in France, as she is entitled by French law. In order to qualify for the campaign, she needs 500 signatures from Mayors in France.
So far she has more than 100 signatures from more than 100 French Mayors who have shown their support.

The Canadian media have done Nathalie Gettliffe further injustice by insinuating that she is unstable in some way because she has entered the Presidential campaign. In so doing, the Canadian media and all those ignorant of the facts have insulted all French Presidential candidates by association, instead of doing their job and informing the public of the truth.

As an example, Rachid Nekkaz, another ordinary citizen of France, has entered the Presidential Campaign in France. ( French article in its original format below.)
Monsieur Nekkaz is well aware of Nathalie Gettliffe's case and he is advocating for her.
Monsieur Nekkaz has had 477 Mayors provide their signatures of support.
